Parents take heed: your kids bathroom sets don’t have to mirror a playpen!
Never let it be said that children don’t have a say as to what goes in and out of their bathrooms – majority of them in fact hold very strong opinions about the colors and designs of kids bathrooms sets. Contrary to popular belief, not all children are crazy over cartoon character designs and big imposing toys.
Bath time is as much an enjoyable experience for kids as it is to adults. Sure they play more and splash around a lot, but this doesn’t mean that the kids bathroom sets should look like the extension of a toy store. If anything, kids bathroom sets should first and foremost be “child-proof” in the sense that bathrooms are most often than not wet and slippery, so the chances of accidents or mishaps are more likely here than any other place in the house.
When looking for kids bathroom sets, look for ones that are made of materials that wouldn’t hurt or injure your kids. More than cute designs and bold colors, your kids’ safety should be your number one priority.
Second would be functionality. What do your kids need to have – and what is useful for your set up? Kids bathroom sets may include bathroom tubs, showers, wash basins and shelves, so there are lots of fixtures you can mix and match depending on need and the space available.
If you and your kids enjoy spending quality time in the tub, then the kids bathroom set that would be best suited for you is one that has this. It’s only after making sure that I’ve covered the major points of safety and usefulness that I normally go into detail about accessories, colors and design for kids bathroom sets.
Kids bathroom sets add more character and life to an otherwise cold and boring area at home. You can ask your kids to help choose the color and general theme they would want to have. However, be sure that you make no drastic changes such as painting over walls or the likes – remember that children can be very fickle, and what they like on their bathroom walls today may not be the exact same thing they would want in a month or two.
For best results, match the kids bathroom sets with accessories (either plains or prints) in matching or complementing hues. If you already have colorfully printed bathroom curtains, you can match those with plain rugs and covers or vice versa. This way, even if your kids say they want Sponge Bob bathroom curtains next month, you don’t have to go through a whole production and change everything up.
